Default how do I authorise the mp3 option?

Hi Guys,

I purchased the MP3 option last night from the digistore. The demo I was runnnig has expired. How do I authorise it? I've tried using the original install disc, but that doesn't work.

As I am on 7.1 on my studio computer I can't use ILOK which is a shame.

Anyone have any heads up? When I go to bounce it says the demo has expired but the "renew" button is greyed out.

I was provided with a code to authorise the codec but I can't figure out where to enter it.

Thanks

IWAN

you should see a box that says authorize on it. It will only come up when you try to export or bounce as an mp3.

The instructions for installation and authorization of the MP3 Option were directly below the description in the Digistore where you purchased it.

It sounds like you still have the demo installed. You should go to MacHD>Applications>Digidesign>Pro Tools>Codecs>MP3 and trash the MP3.bundle that you find there, then install the MP3 Codec Update from the Pro Tools installer for the version of Pro Tools you currently have installed. You should then be able to launch PT, open a session, bounce to disk as an MP3 and at that point it will ask for your authorization code.

Yes I know. I followed all the instructions. It is still not working. I did it all to the letter today. I will try again later.

You should try trashing preferences and see if that helps.
