Are you sitting down?!

I simply unplugged my external hard drives.

I wasn't using them for live storage anyway. Obviously PT doesn't like them. Hope this works for someone else.

and in Disk Allocation were they set to record?

Unless, of course you actually USE the drive for Pro Tools!

Well that's assuming you can set it to a record volume in the workspace without reformatting it

My point was would you get the same results (no errors) if the disk were set to playback only.
