But seriously great input - it would seem to make business sense to make it a high end option - but for ease of use and stability seems like you would have it for all users - maybe it will be standard fare for PT12

If we all have a trillion GB of RAM there's really not any reason to not load everything into RAM. Or offer that option. With all this stuff loaded into RAM and being dynamically allocated memory space I could see the system having a lot more things to juggle. It might turn out that having some user designated fixed buffers like Disk Cache or SampleRAM™ would make it easier on the system since they were fixed memory addresses.

OWC charges $1,130 for a 96GB RAM upgrade to the latest Mac Pro. Do the math.

Really? That'd be awesome amount of RAM for a PT rig

OMG, I need to upgrade now. My sessions are usually 30-50GB so I could even settle for 64GB
