Thanks, di that. They want me to read the instructions on using iLok2:)

The problem is that when I drag my perpetual license (just deposited) it says I have no license to surrender, which is ridiculous.

I see the license. I should be able to simply drag it to my Ilok2.

Since it gives me an error saying I have no license I am stumped.

Yes, Jeffro. I had 11 and surrendered it. I can see the new license when I login to my iLoks on my computer, and on their website. When I try to drag my new perpetual bundle, deposited 9/27, to my iLok I get "One or more licenses cannot be found in your account. Click ok to end this operation".

Bummer...

Exactly. When I try to surrender PT12 for the bundle I get the same message I get when I try to drag the new bundle to my iLok2.

"One or more licenses to surrender cannot be found in your account. Click OK to end this operation".

It is avaialble,I can see it online on my iLok2 account, but it can't find the license to surrender. So why would they even deposit it if they want me to surrender a license just to use it?

I started with PT11, got upgraded to 12 automatically because the date was so close, but surrendered PT11 then. Since then I bought an upgrade that takes me into January 17. Is it possible it wants the PT11 license surrendered twice? I don't have it - they took it:)

Here's the funny part. Application manager, which would sit and spin on "initializing" forever, suddenly asks me for my password. I login, and it says my "current" software is 12.6.0.585!!!

If I try to open 12.6, i still get the iLok2 message telling me I have no account.

What a mess...

I had the same problem this morning and, indeed, all it took to fix this for me was updating my iLok Licence Manager to the most recent version. Give it a shot and good luck!

I'll join in the chorus here as well.

Just jumped through the same hoops of updating the iLok perpetual license, surrendering the previous , only to have the new one ignored.

Updating to the latest iLok License Manager fixed it for me here as well, thanks for the headsup stshots & WeinsteinSound.

Seriously, how hard could it be for AVID to have supplied the correct iLok Licensing version on installation ?

Same here (surrendered the old license, got the new license, installed PT 12.6, got the message - You are trying to run a newer version of PT than your license allows...), but updating the iLok License Manager helped!!

Guys, try to update your iLok License Manager to the latest version, there is a real chance, that it will solve your problem!

I was already on the newest version of ilok manager. Unfortunately, didn't help me. I'm back on 12.5.2 and afraid to even try 12.6 and get locked out again.

Same problem here, in my Avid account I see that I have a Pro Tools | HD Software Upgrade with Annual Upgrade and Support Plan (12 Months) Perpetual Product.

I have a Pro Tools HD Plan subscription in my iLok account which I got about a year ago. This is active on my iLok.

Then in my iLok account I see a Pro Tools HD Perpetual Bundle (with 10/11/12+I/O) License with a (surrender?) flag next to it.

I also see there a Pro Tools HD with Upgrade and Support Plan 2015 license. This one is greyed out.

After installing 12.6 via Application manager and opening it for the first time I got the iLok message saying i'd need to surrender etc.
iLok License Manager is 3.1.1.
When trying to follow the instructions I get the "One or more licenses to surrender cannot be found in your account." message.

Installed 12.5 again but getting the same error routine. Now I can't run any version of PT HD!

What's going on?
