Default Pro Tools not showing up in ‘External Devices’ on S3

Hi,

I’ve been having ongoing issues connecting pro tools to my S3. Sometimes it works perfectly and other times I cannot for the life of me get them to talk.
I’ve been through the set up tab on pro tools- it’s set to E3 engine, TCP/UDP 29292, defaulted the inputs and outputs in I/O.
On the S3, if I go into Options-Interaction- Ethernet Control the venue link is enabled and status says connected to S3L protools but it won’t show up in External Devices.

I had everything set up exactly the same way two days ago and it was working perfectly. Any suggestions (other than turning it off and on again) would be much appreciated!

Hi, this is a forum for the S3, not S3L so unfortunately I can't help you. try this forum http://duc.avid.com/forumdisplay.php?f=25

How is it connected and what software do you have on the E3 and your Mac?

I had the same issue and it was just a bad cable.... the thunderbolt to Ethernet Adapter was broken.

And what OS & PT version are y using. All time with same Cat5e+? Did you switch off Wifi? Did you check at PT/Hardware/Devices/Venue the correct interface and, then, check the ENGINE?
