Mix Window not recalling with session
PT Ultimate 2023.3.0
Mac OS 13.2.1 When I open a session, the mixer window doesn't get recalled to the correct (2nd) display. Instead it sits behind the edit window on the 1st display until I relocated it manually. It does this every time on every session. Is there a preference will make it recall correctly or is this a bug with 13.2.1? |

Re: Mix Window not recalling with session
is it the full height of the screen ?
try shortening the height of the Mix Window to about 20 pixels from the bottom of the screen. save. reopen. |

Re: Mix Window not recalling with session
Not sure if it has anything to do with it, but have you tried disabling (or enabling, don't remember which) "Displays have separate Spaces" under "Desktop & Dock" in MacOS System Settings?

Re: Mix Window not recalling with session
I've given up on PT and macOS windows/spaces/displays recall long ago. I've resigned to restoring window positions manually each time I open a session.
I think it's a question of PT development not keeping up with macOS changes.

If you have the edit on one display and mix on the other ----if you save manually just shy of full screen OR ( If you hold "Option" and then click the green button upper left) it will resize almost full but leaving the header bar and dock displayed),, and then save and close , it will open with edit on one display and mix on the other

Re: Mix Window not recalling with session
Thanks for the replies everyone. I don't have any PT windows in full screen, always a tiny bit shy of each edge.

Re: Mix Window not recalling with session
Interestingly enough, the video window and plugin GUIs retain their position. Seems that the only one affected is the mixer window, odd.

Re: Mix Window not recalling with session
FWIW, Moom will restore all your window positions with a keystroke or automatically:

Re: Mix Window not recalling with session
Looks like it's just my 3rd display (a sony TV) that's affected. Everything recalls correctly to the first 2 displays (Benq monitors). Could be the HDMI splitter...will investigate more.
