Freezes Loading Plugins (only digirack Plugs)
I am finally uprgading my Dual G4 and 002r.
I got an imac Core 2 duo 2.16 put 3gb of ram in it. I had the computer before my 003r arrived and accidently upgraded to OS with the automatic update of 10.5.2 . I installed PT LE to see if it would work and had ploblems So I am in the process of downgrading back to 10.5.1 But I have heard some people are running 10.5.2 fine so I am not sure if that is the Problem. I have tried the 7.4 cs3 update with no success here is the problem: When I start PT LE it the status bar starts loading the Plugins but it freezes on the digrack Plugins. It froze on D-verb so I pulled it out of the plugin folder then it froze on Chorus.....I ended up pulling D-verb, rewire, chorus, and dither and maybe a few more out of the plugin folder and protools started fine. So I reinstalled the digirack plugins off the installer and the problem was the same. Has anyone seen this issue with 10.5.2? |

Re: Freezes Loading Plugins (only digirack Plugs)
Well everything is working great in 10.5.1
I did not install the ignition pack 2 plugins this time so something in there may have been causing the problem....not sure |

Re: Freezes Loading Plugins (only digirack Plugs)
I think this might have something to do with a bug between the Mac, DigiReWire and Melodyne-- had exactly the same problem after loading the Melodyne plug-in. Here's a temporary fix unless somebody has a better idea out there--Go to Mac HD/Library, and find the Digidesign folder; create a NotUsedPlug-Ins folder-- drag DigiReWire.dpm only from the Plug-Ins folder into your newly created folder, and re-boot ProTools. Lame fix, but will get you back up and running temporarily. By the way, running Mac 10.5.1 QuadCore, Digi 003/PT's 7.4cs3.
