Periodically users will run Protools sessions with multiple plug-in windows open. The inevitable effect is the Protools UI redraws around 5-8 fps a second. When you dismiss the plugin windows or limit the number on the screen, the problem goes away. Is this an internal Protools issue? Could the user experience improve with faster video cards? Are some plugin manufacturers guilty of bad drawing code? Does OpenGL run faster? Would a faster CPU improve the user's experience?
The systems in question run 10.10.5. Protools 12.7.x |
