Pro Tools HDX, loading a Session, restoring Tracks takes time

when open a session in PT HD 12.5 HDX, loading the Session, restoring Tracks takes a bit of time... I think more comparing to my Pro Tools TDM Rig HD10.

Is that normal?


Now PT HD12 app opens super fast.

I could agree. On my system it seems to take longer than before.

Most of the load time is due to Pace-Plugin verification.
Try a slow loading session...open with "shift" being held.
Shift-hold>File>open.

Dramatic.

I believe this discussion revolves around the dialogue boxes that pop up explaining what is happening when the session is loading, restoring tacks, etc. I don't recall specifically yet there are other pops up that I wouldn't think are plugin related. This is unless what you are saying is that the overall delay and pop ups are all plugin verification related.

From my experience it is very normal..... How long is it taking??? Enough to make a Pot of Coffee???

a normal sessiom 2 mins 15 secs

I have seen this before
I mix large post sessions - over 200 tracks, full HDX card and 8 cores at 30% or so. These will load and the video engine will load also within about 1 min 30 sec.

When it takes over that it is very obvious that something is grinding to a halt and each channel coms up on the allocating dsp screen one by one - it is that slow. When that happens, I think PT has had "bad card" with the HDX, so I de-power, reboot and all coms good again.

It happens about once in about six weeks or so.
