Default Record Clips Starting at a take number other then 01?

H,

I know PT Names the record Files of what ever the Track is named and adds sequential numbers at the end 01, 02 , etc
What I want to do , is to be able to start the sequential numbering at another number, such as 200,201 . etc .
It doesn't seem to matter if you rename clips and or files on disk.
PT picks up counting from the last take...

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Just name your first Playlist as "Audio.200" and let PT count up from there

Why not just Batch Rename the Clips?

What Albee said is correct. Don't rename the track, but the playlist. i.e. name your track, create a new playlist first and change the number in the popup window to whatever you want the first take to be. If you already have playlists, create a new one and rename it and it will count up from there.

Hi,
The work flow does not/can't use playlists, this is for VO Dialog record work where a client wants to start from take ...ex xxx_200..xxx201..xxx202, Takes are recorded sequentially/linear on one track.
Renaming afterwards doesn't solve the the issue.

Thx!

Ugh, I jumped the gun... Clips still don't count they way Im looking for,

Play list only takes on new name, ex ...xxx.900, clips count xxx.900_01, xxx.900_02
as opposed xxx_901,xxx_902

Thx

Let's say you have a track called ADR1. If you create a new playlist, and change the name of that playlist in the pop-up window from "ADR1.01" to "ADR1.900," you should get your first clip named "ADR1.900_01" and when you create the next playlist for the next take, it will be named "ADR1.901_02."

You are creating a new playlist every time you record, correct?
