Default LE 7.3.1/Error -6085

Hi everyone:

A few days ago I installed an MBox 2Pro/LE 7.3.1, and started playing around (I was working for a long time with Pro Tools 24/Mix Plus) with no major problems. Yesterday I installed Digital Performer (DP 4.12), 'cause I like to sequence on it. I don't know if it was a coincidence, but now when I hit play in PT, an Error -6085 notice appears. I've tried with different H/B Buffer sizes, as well as different sessions, but no way, PT doesn't run. (I didn't find that error in a list of troubleshooting of Digidesign). (I didn't launch Digital performer while I was in Pro Tools).

One more question. With Pro Tools Mix/24, there was a DAE folder in the Mac hard drive. Now, with PT LE, I didn't find any DAE folder. Does LE works with another type of audio engine?

Thanks in advance for any help!

2.3 GHz dual Mac G5
2 GB RAM
OS X 10.4.11
MBox 2 Pro
Pro Tools LE 7.3.1
DP 4.12

I think you'll need to upgrade DP to at least 4.6 to work on Tiger. I run a similar set-up (dual 2.0 G5/OS10.4.11/PT7.3.1cs6/Mbox2/002/DP5.0).

If that doesn't solve your problem, then consult the troubleshooting thread (above) for information about disabling any background tasks (e.g processor cycling/Airport/Bluetooth/ FW Networking) that might be kicking-in and causing the -6085 errors.

Re PT LE, I don't recall seeing a folder specifically titled DAE on my HD.

You will want this update: "Pro Tools LE 7.3.1cs6"

Fixed: Upon First Playback, DAE -6085 Error With Mbox 2 Pro on Mac OS X (Item #83789)

* The workaround was to unplug/replug the Mbox 2 Pro after booting the computer.

Hope that helps!

I think DP 4.12 runs in Tiger. Any way, I think I'll upgrade my DP. Thanks Phil

I unplugged a Lacie HD I had connected to a Firewire port. The problem was solved. Now I have to look for another port in the Mac to plug my external hardrives.

I also did the upgrade to LE 7.3.1cs6, but the appendix cs6 doesn't appear added to the LE 7.3.1 name. Is it right, or maybe I didn't the install well done?

It's quite normal that the cs6 doesn't appear on the Pro Tools splash screen. You can find/confirm the exact PT version installed from Apple System Profiler/Applications.
