Default BFD2 - CPU/RAM usage too high, despite using 16b and load on demand settings

I have a question concerning my BFD2. I did all the options necessary to lower the cpu/RAM usage (16bit mode, load on demand). But when I hit play, my whole project is "cracking". I am running BFD with load on demand an 16bit mode, but there are still LOTS of cracks after using it for a view minutes!

I have an intelcore 2duo and 2gb ram. BFD is completely installed on my c drive.

What can I do to playback my projects with bfd without cracks? I did options to optimize my Pro Tools, everything works fine until I installed and used BFD

Is there a big difference, if I put bfd samples on a fast external drive firewire hdd or ssd? I just want to work without cracks!

I am on the verge of buying a new pc (6core/16gb ram)..it would be very expensive. but is this really necessary?
