Avid Standard Support - question for Avid

Question regarding the info Max has given out re a cheaper way of getting the PT9HD to PT 10HD Upgrade by taking out an Avid Standard Support Contract.

The support contract is a few hundred dollars cheaper than the actual upgrade so it makes absolute sense to buy the contract and get the upgrade this way plus get the great benefit of having Avid support for a year.

Will we be able to purchase Avid Standard Support online from the Avid store?
(UK customers too?)

How soon after purchasing Avid Standard Support would we get our PT10HD upgrade?

If we can't buy this online and get access to PT10 HD download, how do we do this?

Obv there is no sense in buying the upgrade on its own if we can get it cheaper with a support contract. Can we have more information about this please. The links in Avid store just go to single incident purchase and not for the full annual contract.

If Avid don't sell this Standard Support Contract direct through the store can someone recommend a reseller in the UK who can do this and who would expedite getting the PT10 HD upgrade.

Hi,

No, the support plan has to be purchased from your country dealer, i guess as it will be them supplying the support, not Avid US.

I tried with US dealers but they technically could not do it as i am registered in the UK.
