Hi Digi, PT8/Structure/Transfuser Problems + Crash Reports PLEASE HELP

hi digi,

i collect my problems with PT8 for you.
first of all, yes, i did all troubleshootings many many times

when PT8 crashes i even can´t use "force quit" anymore. sometimes after 10 times "force quit" PT8 is finally gone, sometimes i have to restart with PT8 is still in crash modus. (don´t know the name yet. when PT8 crashes, you get this "no answer" or something message and you have to press "force quit".

Structure:
-i get crashes when i edit a lot in structure.
after 10 crashes and i am done with editing and i leave structure alone, structure play and structure don´t crash anymore.

-when i use around 8-10 structure with only 1 sound in each structure, i get "low memory" message, i can save, but than crash.

this problems have nothing to do with crashes, but i am pissed.
i payed a lot of money for structure and still
the outputs don´t work! since PT7!
please open a structure, load for example 16 drumsounds in 16 programms. open 16 MONO Aux, 16 midi channels, go to structure and make programm 1 out1L, programm 2 out3L and so on.
see what happens...
for example:
7L play on the stereo inst. channel were structure is on, than L5 is not playing anymore. i get total chaos.
in stereo it works much better, but i need my drums in mono.
i open for every sound 1 structure in the moment.
since kontakt 3 and battery 3 are not PT8 compatible, i have no sampler anymore

when i play the sound in the browser, why they are so much louder, than when i play them on the keyboard after select them in the programm? can i change this somewhere?

Transfuser:
when i use for example 4 transfuser, with 4 different loops, transfuser stops playing from time to time or don´t play the loop to the end?
2 transfuser work OK.
last session i had 6 transfusers with solo samples, no loops. after reopen the session he play no sound anymore??? the samples were still in by name, but no sound, even not when i play them from the keyboard.
any idea?

When i run PT8 without VI, like structure & transfuser i have nearly no crashes.

the next post will be my plugin list, mac setup and some crash reports.
maby you can figure something out.

In looking at your plug-in list, I see a few that may be suspect and at least one that needs to be updated.

All the Korg stuff is questionable. I would remove it for testing for now.

Can you tell me the actual version numbers of the Ohm Force plug-ins (Minimonsta, etc)?

The Prophet V needs to be updated to 1.2.1

After removing and updating plug-ins, please trash preferences and restart before testing again.

Also, we need to know your system configuration - how you have everything connected, which drives you're using for recording/playback/samples, etc. Trying to decipher it from your system report isn't going to work.

You can send your crash report as a text document to: vi [at] digidesign [dot] com. Please include the thread number (241375) in the subject.

I see from your reports that you have a few RAID arrays in your system. Pro Tools doesn't play well with RAID and it very likely could be the cause of your crashes. I would reconfigure those drives as normal drives, rather than RAID and see if it helps.

I'm not seeing anything else in particular, but I still need to go through the dozen or so crash reports you sent. The RAID thing is a big red flag for me, though.

when i reconfigure the dive were PT8 is on, i have to install everything again? or can i do a mirror copy and put it back? or anything else to get away from the RAID?
is it ok, when i leave the PT7 HD with RAID and make it unmount when i work. i only use the PT7 HD for fixing old trax and make them ready for PT8.

is it matters on wich of the 4 HD ports (order) PT8/Leo System is on?
