Default Creation Station Cube from Sweetwater

Anyone using the Creation Station Cube from Sweetwater? If so are you happy with it? Is it worth the money? Thanks.

$1850 seems quite expensive, but I'm sure they work. I saw one in their showroom and it was running PTLE. I didn't pay a lot of attention to it, because they also have an HD Acel system on a G5 with at 23" Apple Cinema monitor...

I think you would be better off building one according to the Allenstein prescription for about half the cost. Plus, it should have twice the performance, or at least quite a bit more with at AMD 3500. Then you could use the other $900 to buy some nice mics, big LCD monitor, or even some speaker monitors. Building your own computer is a bit intimidating at first, but if you plan to get into recording, you are going to need to understand computers well...so, you might as well dive in head first, because everything you learn will help you in the long run.

The thing you're paying for with a Sweetwater computer is service. I have one, and I've never regetted buying it. I had a couple problems in the beginning, but they sent me overnight tags, fixed it, and had it back to me in 3 days.

Service is good, although 1000.00 for a service plan is a little expensive. If you build a great system you won't need much service. We don't see many Allenstein machines breaking down in here, in fact I don't remember ever seeing one. LOL
Oh no, I didn't just say that.

LOL

Hey, Thanks everyone for the response. I've built several systems before, but the older I get the more I hate spending all my time setting everything up. I guess I was just wanting something that would work right out of the box. Thanks again.
