Pro Tools 9 not launching on 10.6.6 - can't see iLok
Subject line says it all. Pro Tools 9 launches and asks for authorization. I click Authorize and it finds then iLok. Great.
Then it asks for authorization again. I click Authorize again and it finds then iLok again. Again great. Then it goes into an infinite loop of dialog boxes "Error, missing iLok authorization for "Pro Tools 9". Please insert the necessary iLok to continue." And yet iLok.com CAN see the iLok and the licence on it. So far I've uninstalled Pro Tools 9 and the 9.0.2 updater and both iLok drivers and reinstalled everything. It's a new iLok2. Any advice? |

Unplugging and reconnecting iLok has no effect.

Do you possibly have the Logitech Setpoint app installed? If so, that may be the problem. The only solution at the moment is to uninstall it.

Re: Pro Tools 9 not launching on 10.6.6 - can't see iLok
The machine is a late 2008 2.1GHz core2duo MacBook.
No software from Logitech here. I should say that PT9 worked fine for about 3 weeks beforehand. I'll try installing on a Mac Pro i have here & I'll also try a colleague's iLok to try to work out if it is the install, the machine or the dongle. I may not manage today however as work must go on functioning Pro Tools or not. "Hello DSP Quattro my old friend, I've come to work with you again Because a vision of a dialog box And some software that just wouldn't launch..." Did I mention I had work to do??? Grumble, spit etc. |

OK I've tried EVERYTHING on the Avid Snow Leopard optimizations page including disabling the Sudden Motion Sensor and resetting the SMC and trying a new user account.
Same results. Going to try another iLok today and try my iLok on another machine. |

Re: Pro Tools 9 not launching on 10.6.6 - can't see iLok
I hope to try a different ilok2 this week.
I also installed 10.6 from scratch to see if that made any difference. It didn't |

Re: Pro Tools 9 not launching on 10.6.6 - can't see iLok
I had the same problem today with my brand new computer, ilok works on my laptop but missing auth code on my new desktop. I spent the forty bucks called Avid, spent two hours on the phone, four different techs. Went through many processes, told me to reinstall everything call tomorrow. This is coming up on day five and so sick of this. My laptop works but I didnt buy a new computer for nothing. so if avid can see this, Im gonna keep calling but eventually Im gonna want my money back as this is ridiculous. Four of your techs couldn't help me at all, telling me to do stuff I already did before I spent the forty bucks. So let's get this solved it seems to happen alot in the past month. or I want my full refund.
