Please Help c24 acting erratic! Pan moving by itself and ctrl room volume
Just bought a c24 last month and for the entire month of feb it was working fine using the Control Surface and Monitor Section but out of nowhere the software on the c24 started acting crazy, moving my pans on my tracks on its own! i thought it was a HUI issue but then my CTRL Room Volume started moving on its own too! please someone tell me theres a fix for this i cant find anything and when I try to update the firmware through pro tools it doesnt give me an error but it doesnt actually update the firmware, im not sure why.

If you bought it new, I would be on the phone to the dealer. Having said that, check your power, and especially check the outlet grounding as the C24(and most controllers I know of) absolutely require a good earth ground connection

And JFTR, the C|24 doesn't directly use HUI like a third-party controller does...it uses its own protocol...

Re: Please Help c24 acting erratic! Pan moving by itself and ctrl room volume
thanks for the suggestions guys! i called avid they said after all resets it has to be a hardware problem and only an authorised third party repair shop can be offered, the guy down at ground control in miami said it might be a power supply failure? im so lost i just hope when I go into the studio the problem magically fixed itself

Easiest thing to do would be swap out the PS and see if all is good. Maybe your dealer can loan you a PS?
