Talking Mac
When I installed PTLE Simple Text lost the ability to "talk." Is there anyway I can get that back?
Thanks in advance. |

Re: Talking Mac
That would be your Text-to-Speech software. You would need to re-enable the Speech Control Panel and these extensions:
Speech Manager MacinTalk 3 and/or MacinTalk Pro SpeakableItems and Speech Recognition extensions may also need to be enabled, but I don't think so just to use Text-to-Speech. There are international versions of this software on your Mac OS CD, in case you want your computer to talk to you in a different language. Bruce

Re: Talking Mac
Different languages? Sweet! To bad I only understand English.
Thanks for the tip Digi, I'll try it and see if it works. *EDIT* Re-enabled everything, restarted, type something funny into Simple Text and it worked. I'll look into the other languages later on. |
