Don't hold your breath. I actually consider it lucky that M-Powered users were included in this big upgrade at all. lol. We could have easily been merged with the PT Essentials crowd. I upgraded to PTLE 8 and MPTK2 on 10/25/2010. I emailed the digistore and asked whether the money I just spent could be credited toward a PT9 crossgrade. I got the following responses yesterday 11/15/2010. It does appear that the email will be coming.

If you purchased and
registered any toolkit on or after October 4, 2010, you are eligible to
receive a free crossgrade to Pro Tools 9 software. If you registered
your toolkit purchase within this timeframe, you?ll automatically
receive an e-mail with a free activation code and link to download Pro
Tools 9.

Do not worry if you haven't received this confirmation e-mail yet.
Unfortunately we are not sure about when you are supposed to get this
because they are all sent automatically by a machine. Anyway, if you
registered it on October 25th just like you mentioned below, then you
apply for this promotion. Please stay alert and keep checking your mails
periodically for further information.

I guess I may not have been entirely clear about everything in this thread.

There is no special pricing to upgrade/crossgrade to Pro Tools 9 for previous MPTK or DVTK owners except as stated in the FAQ:

Q: I recently purchased one of the toolkits; am I entitled to any free upgrades?
A: Yes. If you purchased and registered any toolkit on or after October 4, 2010, you are eligible to receive a free crossgrade to Pro Tools 9 software. If you registered your toolkit purchase within this timeframe, you’ll automatically receive an email with a free activation code and link to download Pro Tools 9.

If you purchased your toolkit prior to October 4th, the other upgrade option you have is here this one (also from the FAQ):

Q: Will there be upgrade options for DV Toolkit 2 and Music Production Toolkit 2 owners to upgrade to Complete Production Toolkit 2?
A: Yes, there are two options for existing toolkit owners to upgrade to the new Complete Production Toolkit 2:

• DV Toolkit and DV Toolkit 2 owners may upgrade to Complete Production Toolkit 2 for $299 (USD)
• Music Production Toolkit and Music Production Toolkit 2 owners may upgrade to Complete Production Toolkit 2 for $1,599 (USD)

The first reply I made in this thread was about the above offers - there are no others. I should have been more clear that the offer wasn't specific to an upgrade/crossgrade to Pro Tools 9 except for recent purchases.

Is this good for a Toolkit upgrade as well? I had MPTK1 and upgraded to MPTK2 on 10/25/2010. The MPTK2 upgrade was registered on 10/25.

$1599 is not in the budget so that option's out, but even the $50 cost of the MPTK upgrade applied to a PT9 purchase would be appreciated. Especially since I haven't even used it since the install.

I'm sorry, that would not qualify - it's only new purchases of a current (at that point) toolkit.
