M-Audio FastTrack USB - Windows XP - Not working :(
I've read the forum and gone over a lot of things but still get the 'unable to locate device' error when launching PT.
AMD 3800+ CPU downloaded the patch. Got 2x HardDrives. (no RAID) Using 3 USBs - Keyboard, Mouse, M-Audio FastTrack. Tried the 7.3 CD that came with it and tried the latest 7.4 download. At first PT wouldn't install saying I needed to update windows (XP SP2), I downloaded an update, then it let me install. It works fine in Audition, but I wanted to see how Pro Tools works with it.

Do you have the most recent FastTrack drivers from the M-Audio website? (The current one as of this post is 5.10.00.5114v4)

Just deleted the old drivers and installed the new ones above.
The LED is lighting up on the front of the USB FastTrack, but when I double click the M-Audio icon in the system tray, it says 'not connected' on the pop-up in the top right. I can open an audio file in winamp and it will play! But now Audition isn't recognizing the device as well as PT + the driver software  Tried the 'disable USB power' as well, but that didn't do anything: http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=...d25acbdd34f27f Also disabled the network and on board audio, but that didn't do anything.

Did you uninstall the old driver through the Add Remove Programs or did you just deleted it?

Via Add / Remove programs, first, that didn't work.
Then I went to install the driver again and it came up with 'Delete drivers' so I did that as well and re-installed, but that didn't work either.
