Arrow Propellerhead's Reason

They are opening up to third-party plug-ins by the second quarter 2012.

That might take me completely out of Pro Tools.

Need a reference- this is news to me...
I feel like the only reason user on earth that doesn't give two s***s about VST support... I don't want them messing around with the code (once record became part of the package the software got a bit sluggish...)

Also it seems to me that if they did add VST support, that you would have the best of all worlds- why ditch PT?!?

Not VST, but their own format. Korg, Sugar Bytes, Peff, Softube, GForce, and Sonic Charge are reportedly said to be onboard already.
