It wasn't that fast for McDsp and the companies that did jump out their quickly with aax-dsp like softube had very poor optimizations. Even avid.

I am disappointed that waves hasn't done dsp but we can get by with native for the few waves plugins we use. I'm more upset that there isn't an autotune dsp yet. We have to track some sessions on on older HD3 rig because of it.

Default Waves Studiorack

Point of the post was that there were people (companies) who had working versions in PT long before other companies

And these companies weren't huge companies by plugin manufacturing standards....

There are many who feel just the same. I myself have not re-wup'd because of this...

Have you looked at Autotune Live? That seems to be their solution for the forseeable future.

After Soundgrid was announced, anyone who believes Waves ever intended to do AAX DSP is fooling themself...

Just rockin'...what more is there?

Hi,
Maybe you know that both freeze and dynamic plugs are features that are used because there is not enough CPU for doing all the processing that is needed. SG alleviates this is a more fundamental way...

I'm soooooo happy with my DLS/eMotion... Any latency issue, any problem on my HDN system with many audio gears... so when I get back home I'll share too many details!

Cheers

It's worth mentioning that "optimizing" means dumbing down the math according to listening tests that study what can and can't be gotten away with. It's a very time consuming process that results in actual, but hopefully not audible degradation. Assuming competent coding in the first place, less "optimization" will always yield higher audio quality.

I still want to see and play with this system, I saw their plugs and digi rack system in action on a Pet Shop Boys tour, a friend is FOH mixer, and the system was rock solid, I still think it's a cool idea, waiting to pass judgement till I have a chance to use it.
I currently own one waves plug, so I don't have the same history as a lot of users on this site , I understand the anger generated by their policies, and the money spent by a great deal of user's, yet I still like the fact a company is moving forward with ideas, they may not be for everyone, but I welcome the chance to try it out
