Wiring Question
I'm bringing my synths (typical Roland, Korg stuff) into the C24's line inputs which are balanced. The synths are unbalanced, so I wired the cables hot-to-tip & cold & ground to sleeve and left the plugs going to the line inputs TRS. This got rid of some ground issues & riased the gain I was able to get, but I still find that I've gotta open some of those pre's to the max & still not have enough gain. What are some of you guys doing? Thanks.

Re: Wiring Question
Darla, I was going through the C24 line preamps from my synths, then out of C24 into the 1622. I kept playing with raising & lowering the gain on both the C24 & 1622. I found the C24 pres didn't have enough gain and have a certain coloration which is fine if that's what you want; I didn't want it all the time. The clarity of sound from the 1622 worked best. So I rewired going straight into the 1622. Of course you could increase output gain from the synths. Hope this helps.
