is 002 worth it??
I've heard alot of good thing about digirack 002, but ive also heard that it and the software has alot of problems. I currently have a roland vs2480 and want to get into protools. is it worth the money to buy a digirack 002 to start getting into pro tools? would it be a better idea to use the digirack alone or get a roland ae-7000 converter and use it with my vs2480?

I don't understand your point about using a digirack alone, whatever that is. I'm no expert, so it could be my mistake. But, If you buy an 002r, you get Pro Tools LE with it, and I think that it is a great way to get into Pro Tools. You could get an M-box for less, but the 002r is a great set-up. You need Pro Tools hardware for the software to work.
