Clock Issue
Hi Chris,
I thought I would break this out to it's own thread (see discussion here - http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=302083&page=2). I would have PM'd you but that has been disabled on my account by the site administrator. David |

Re: Clock Issue
Hi dmock,
I forwarded your info to the Eleven Rack customer support rep. He should get in touch with you via your email address on file or you can call the Avid customer support number.

Re: Clock Issue
THANK YOU CHRIS!!! I very much appreciate it!!!
I do have a question - what is the difference in playing the 11R on 48 vs 44.1? Is there long term harm to doing so? Thanks again - I appreciate it!!! David |

Re: Clock Issue
Actually, it turns out that our Eleven Rack rep is out of the office today, so it's probably best if you phone in.
Practically speaking either sample rate should be fine, although units with this clock issue usually fail only at 44.1kHz. I generally use 48kHz, since that provides a slightly higher processing rate for the algorithms.

Re: Clock Issue
So playing using the 48kHz is fine long term?
I've noticed that sometimes my patch will sorta "die" and drop to near no output... once I switch to another patch things right themselves - but that is a bit concerning. Is that associated to the clock deal? What is the number? I just need to let them know that I have a clock issue and they take it from there? Any other information I need to have ready? Thanks again Chris - this is very much appreciated! David |

Re: Clock Issue
Hi dmock,
There should be no problem with using 48kHz only. Regarding the patch dying, it sounds like you are hearing the noise gate. You can turn that off in the amp settings. And here's the phone number. http://www.avid.com/US/support/support-contact

Re: Clock Issue
Actually the patch dies... I don't have any gates engaged. Even when I strike the strings hard there is little sound... until I change patches then whatever glitch had occurs clears and it's fine.
Thanks for the number! I will call. |

Re: Clock Issue
Hi Chris,
Can you please have someone email me? I called the support line but didn't have a control # - so I got put in a queue with an estimated 30 minute hold time. I would prefer to have support initiate with an email and we go from there. Thanks! David |
