Pro Tools "Ghost Notes"

Hello, can someone please help me with this issue? I'm getting "ghost notes" and need help addressing this - what is a "ghost note"?

1. A note that cannot be added: Happens on the very first beat of a measure, and when I add a note it just disappears.

2. A note that cannot be deleted: Also happens on the very first beat, and I cannot delete the note. If I move the note, a "second" note appears that allows me to move it, but the original note is still there in the same place.

I attached a screenshot that shows where these issues usually occur, but they also happen when these "thick dashed lines" are NOT present. I have no idea what is causing this, or how to correct it. ANY help is appreciated.

This is a long-standing bug in Pro Tools. The workaround is to consolidate the clip. Hopefully, Avid will get around to fixing it one day.

Thanks, you mentioned consolidating the clip - how do I do that? I highlighted a clip, but did not see a "consolidate" option. Thanks!

Select the clips, then hit Shift+Alt+3 (PC).
