Is that really still a question? It's obvious that Avid is ignoring its customers.

From where we know they are one step to announce a new software... late but they will.

I hope something nice is coming. But I won't hold my breath.

Yeah, apparently as many as three updates to sw 4.x.x before stepping up to version five.

I doubt there will ever be a 5.x for the S3L, but I don't care what number it is as long as the functionality is there.

But right now I don't see anything happenening in a decent amount of time.

Last month and the next my S3L only did one job, all others were handled by my DL32, and as long that there is no iPad app and better AVB options I will have a lot of wasted money sitting around.....

It's a shame, i had great faith in te platform but the consoles are sitting at the warehouse doing no jobs for months, and even worst, they got bad rep now and they're becoming a really tough sell so it looks like I'm gonna have to eat them or sell them at x32 prices.

That is the very reason i started this thread, and although there are statements from Ryan about the future it all just takes to long. We are close to 2 years without an update, the most asked for feature is still not available and the big advantages we could have with AVB are ignored.
As I said: they have to invest in this product or it will go down the drain even further
