I have to ask. Is the monitor knob as useless as the one on the Artist Control? Or will monitoring finally make it into Pro Tools?

Currently the EUCON mappable monitor control will work with the Pro Tools Duet and Quartet. I don't believe it will work with other Pro Tools based hardware/software. I'll let Kyle reply on future thoughts….

Played with the Dock today at AES. It does a lot, but the things I was most impressed by at this price point were:

-easy access to automation modes, including Trim

-dedicated keys for Preview, Preview Suspend (finally!)

-the big wheel can do a lot of things. It was very smoothly sliding a selection around the the timeline, and even cooler, you could use it to wheel clip gains up and down for a group of selected clips.
