Default Mixer - Meters and Faders question

If I have a clip on an Audio track and move the track's fader down to decrease volume, I can tell the volume is decreased but the meter behaves like a pre-fader setting. What I mean is, even when lowering the volume, the volume indicator on the mixer still shows the same levels even though audibly the volume is lower. Is this normal behavior? Thanks!

Hi,

Sounds like you have Pre-fader metering selected! This will show the recorded level and not the level determined by the fader.
