10.3.6 is definitely the version you need to coexist! It has bug fixes specifically to coexist etc. so if you want to revert back and forth then upgrade to 10.3.6

10.3.5 is fine if you're going to stay on 10 although it does have some general fixes as well. So no reason to stay on 10.3.5

I've actually got PT 9 coexisting on my laptop but wouldn't run my studio system like that! As its just for testing and I nee to keep a version 9 to hand.

I'm not totally clear what you want to do when you say sync! Do you mean 2 separate computers one with 10 and one with 11?

Yes 10.3.6 still uses TDM as normal, no major changes to 10 with 10.3.6, just a few fixes and suff to ease the coexist etc.

i ask because i already have a 10/11 bundled license on one of my iloks, and want to avoid downloading the new ilok client and driver until the problems over there are 100% sorted out. if i can install 10.3.6 and not have to update my ilok, i'll try it sooner than later. No, you can just download and install 10.3.6 without having to do any ilok manuvers.

Obviously it's when you upgrade to 11 you'll have To use the new ilok client to get the 11/10 bundle and download to an ilok 2

What would be the order of installation when co-installing 10.3.6 and 11 regarding the HD driver? Do you need to install the 11 driver as well after you installed 10.3.6 and before installing 11?

A co-install guide as a sticky post would be nice.

I installed the 11HD drivers after installing both 10.3.6 and 11 and things work a treat. Not sure if that's the official way though.

Hi,

Its important to note that 10.3.6 has specific fixes for the coexist. 10.3.5 does not have these fixes.

P.S. there's no need to install the HD drivers if you are installing Pro Tools itself, they are included. Only need to install them to use the hardware without pro tools.
