irritating pro tools issues

Ok , so first of all I am no expert pro tools user. But it is very irritating that whenever you change from one interface to another one (different make and model) Pro tools freaks out and you have to trash the preferences. Ok so that's not that bad, though one would think "the industry standard daw" would totally get that people use different sights and interfaces to record and mix these days . But why does the "trashing of preferences" have to trash my "favorite plugins list". That's really irritating and just adds to downtime. Lately pro tools has come out with a few new firmwares and non have addressed those issues , so here's a heads up. PLEASE FIX THAT:):):)

Have you tried just holding the N key when you launch PT, and then selecting the proper playback engine? Should save a bit of the fuss.

Hi !

As said above just hold the N key while loading. Apart from that you can leave the plugins part as they are when trashing preferences . If you use a helper app to do that like trasher 3 from "guitardom" you can choose what to delete in the process if my memory don't fail .
