I booted into Windows to see if there was anything I can do on that end, no luck. However, the computer tries to see the keyboard but throws back an error labeling it as an unknown device. Clicking on the unknown device in Device Manager shows a firmware related error message:

Code 29 - This device is disabled because the firmware of the device did not give it the required resources.

I think this error proves to be the problem and solution in fixing it.
Problem= Corrupt firmware
Solution= Flash the firmware using the the above YouTube video method.

I'm posting all info in I can in order to help others who experience this. Still waiting on parts to come in though :/

oh yeah....ok. I haven't used midi or midi cables for the keyboard for years....


I am running it via USB.....sorry for not reading the whole thread.



really cool fix for resetting the firmware on the controller.....good find.
