confused Luddite: printing effects to disk
OK, I'm new to PT so bear with me.
The mix looks like this: tracks 1&2 for final edited mix, tracks 3-6 for editing. Two stereo aux tracks for effects, one master stereo fader. I set the outputs of tracks 1,2 and both aux tracks to new busses and added two audio tracks. Set the inputs of the new tracks to the corresponding bus. Set the outputs of the new tracks to main outs. Record enabled the new tracks, hit play and got nothing - no level in the meters and nothing in the edit window, no audio through the main outs. Anyone? |

Re: confused Luddite: printing effects to disk
Make sure that you have Input Monitor Only selected. I believe it's under the Operations menu. Also, don't neglect the reference manual. The first week we had Pro Tools here, I spent a couple hours every night just going through the manual and familiarizing myself. I think 5.0 actually has a searchable .pdf manual included with it.
