Was until a few days ago when I applied the combo updater for 10.12.3 and noticed no change at all.

Is 10.12.3 officially sanctioned? About to slowly build a new partition here.

It's not.

But I always jump in and test ahead of time.

Another vote here for 10.12.2. Been on it a month now and my experience is the same as Drew's. I used to get the random freeze on Mavericks but none since the fresh install of Sierra.

The only issue I'm having is GPU related. Twice when launching Resolve it has told me the GPU memory is full and once I actually had visible graphic corruption on the screen. Resizing the desktop solves this problem but it comes back a week later. Not sure if it's CUDA related as there have been two CUDA updates in the past month.

From all the versions of PT12 and OS I must say PT12.7 (HD) and Mac OS10.12.3 has been the best. still far from perfect if your running the video engine which in my opinion still sucks and is still full of problems.

I work mostly on OS10.8.5 with PT10 (on the same machine) and is lightning fast compared to PT12. I just get so fed up with the the stupid crashes and very leggy behaviour of PT12

An other great alternative is Nuendo,
I've use it most the time if I don't have to deliver to a stage where the mix in PT. that being said Nuendo outputs a actually working AAF you can import into Pro Tools no problem with all your Clip gain, Volume levels and fades.

on sale now

Finally got some imaging software and cloned the C drive last week. Amazing how easy it was to create an image on another SSD to experiment with! I loaded 12.7 and put it through the paces, deleting/uninstalling this or that, all with the confidence of having the home drive to go back to. A virtual PT playground.
