Does it say anything else than just "DAE #7400"?

I get this all the time as well. Sometimes it happens when I open a session and PTLE can't open a plug-in, the 7400 error makes them in active. I think the error says something like DAE error 7400 unable to open plugin or something like that. The only thing I can figure out, is it might be another bug with the T-Racks bundle. Strangely, when I get this error, I have to open a T-Racks EQ on a track then take it off. After I do that I can open the other "inactive" plugs. Sometimes when the session starts I can just click on the DAE inactive plug and they open up. Kind of frustrating. It seems to happen with Sampletank, and the Free Bombfactory plugs the most. It's hit or miss on my system. If you do a search for 7400 error there are some threads where people have to copy the affected session to the other drive and recopy it back and that seems to cure it as well.

FYI: I'm running PTLE 6.4cs9 with a Digi 002R, on a P4 2.8 ghz with a MSI 865G chipset mobo, 1 gig of Kingston Ram and two 80 gig Seagate 7200rpm SATA hard drives.

Other than that I have no idea what causes this.

I used to get that error when duplicating an amplitube plugin to another track using the alt click copy shortcut.Might be some ik multimedia error.

I found what helps my computer. i had the same problem with dea 740 when I went to use auto tune and amplitube plug in. when you go to the session Icon. with the song tittle to open the session. right click and uncheck archive, then re open the session. every song I had a problem with works perfect now. check it out...
