Need to gradually increase TEMPO
Hi,
I'm trying to figure out a way to make a DRUM ROLL gradually rise in tempo. In other words, it starts out in normal speed, but gradually gets faster and faster until it reaches a climax point. Can anyone suggest a way to do this using either Protools or some other audio editor/plug in? Thanks a lot |

Re: Need to gradually increase TEMPO
You never mentioned which version of Protools you are using, and it's important that you do as 6.7 has some new tempo manipulation features in it that would not be applicable to the older versions.

Re: Need to gradually increase TEMPO
on 6.7 are you able to control the over song tempo as you would volume on a master track? that would be awesome, and maybe a reason to switch.

Re: Need to gradually increase TEMPO
Hey, that TEMPO EDITOR PANE looks pretty cool, but that's from the latest 6.7 version, right? Coz it looks different on my 6.1.2
Thanks |

Re: Need to gradually increase TEMPO
go to transport, click director,
click tempo in edit window, in the window that appears, put tempo and bar to raise tempo(or down it), so on, don´t forget to return to original tempo, or whaever you want.

Re: Need to gradually increase TEMPO
Hmm.. pretty cool about the 6.7 feature. Back in the day before the MIDI stuff started getting popular, I would say to try having a drummer do it live that is able to keep time very well.
