Default MBox 2 Mini to 003 factory

Since starting out with PT in 2007, I've had the MBox 2 mini set up. Now I'm thinking of taking advantage of the trade-in to upgrade to the 003 factory. Here's my PC set-up:

Manufacturer : Dell Dimension DM061
Mainboard : Dell 0WG864
Chipset : Intel G965
Processor : Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 @ 1800 MHz
Physical Memory : 2048 MB (2 x 1024 DDR2-SDRAM )
Video Card : Intel(R) G965 Express Chipset Family
Hard Disk : ST3250820AS (250 GB)
DVD-Rom Drive : HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GSA-H31N
Monitor Type : Dell Computer DELL E228WFP - 22 inches
Network Card : Intel Corporation 82562V 10/100 Network Connection
Network Card : Intel Corporation 82562V 10/100 Network Connection
Operating System : Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition 5.01.2600 Service Pack 3
DirectX : Version 9.0c

I've not had any issues with MBox 2 mini with my set up. Is there anything I need to consider for upgrade to 003 Factory? The only thing I don't have installed on my PC is a Firewire connection, but I'm going to do that as well for this upgrade. I just want to be sure I'm not overlooking anything else.

Thanks

Yep - get a Mac!

You might have better response luck posting your question in the "Pro Tools LE Windows Systems: 003, 002, Mbox, 001" section.

Just a thought - I went from Mbox 2 to 003 Factory without an Apple upgrade.
Of course, I'm still using PTLE7.4.

I've read that PT8 is a monster CPU hog.
But what do I know?

A Mac is not a bad Idea.

That being said, you can likely get by on what you have as long as you employ a qualified firewire controller.

Yes, you're right, I accidently clicked into the wrong forum.
I know you Mac guys all love your Macs, but I'm not switching any time soon. Too many other more important priorities.

If you're interested, I've got a 003 I'm trying to sell, it's in the buy and sell forum. You'd save a good amount of money even with the trade in deal.
