I'm still getting the error message about the drive not being an audio record volume. I did what you guys suggested (the drives were already selected as record volumes) and I also ran Disk Utility. But nothing seems to work. Any more suggestions?

If you need to remove an expired demo of DINR LE, remove the plug-in named "Broadband Noise Reduction LE" from your plug-ins folder.

If you installed the DV Toolkit demo, it automatically installs demo versions of DINR LE, DV Toolkit, DigiTranslator, and VocALign Project (plug-in named "VocALignLEX".

To removed demo software, see this Answerbase item:
http://answerbase.digidesign.com/detail.cfm?DID=28112

To install the correct version of optional plug-ins and software that you own, see the Optional Digidesign Plug-Ins & Additional Software for Pro Tools 6.9 & 6.9.2

If you still encounter problems, be sure to follow all of the instructions in the OS X/Pro Tools 6.x Setup & General Troubleshooting topic at the top of the PTLE Mac forum.

I have 6.4 installed on my new g5 right now, it doesn't work obviously. I believe I need to go and buy 6.7 and then download the upgrade to 6.9 and then the upgrade to 6.9.2? Am I on the right track here?

Yup, go to your session browser and change your drives to record or playback volumes!

Webby!!!

Would you be so kind as to take me by the hand and tell me how to do what you are describing above?? Step by step, inch by inch. I know it's probably something stupidly simple. Please!!!

Thanks

The following should already be installed on your computer from the Pro Tools installation from the PTLE 6.7 or 6.9 CD...

Startup Drive->Applications->Digidesign->Documentation->Pro Tools:

DigiBase Guide.pdf->
chapter 5
Workspace Browser->
Opening the Workspace Browser
Audio and Video Volume Designators

Close, but you don't need 6.7 at all, you can just purchase the upgrade to PTLE 6.9.

The Pro Tools LE 6.9.2 Updater will update either Pro Tools LE 6.7 or 6.9.

Upgrade information for users that do not have 6.7 or 6.9 is on the 6.9.2 download page in the Q & A section:
