HD1 Price Drop?

On the Digidesign website the price listed for an HD1 is $1952
http://www.digidesign.com/products/hd/hdpack/index.cfm

I am looking up prices for a client. Is this correct? Seems like a very good deal right now.

Why is this lower than the trade-in cost when trading in older Mix hardware?
