Default Lets Put All Our Artist Series Eucon PT9 Woes/Bugs In One Place

This may (or may not) make it easier for AVID to respond to.

For me the killer is the "mix window follows bank selection" not working. It seems none of the Controller Preferences in the PT preferences do anything.

Dragging the PT app into the Euphonix System Preferences page removes my work station from EuControl after restart.

2 X MC MIX
PT9
OSX 10.6.4
Eucon 2.5.6

We're looking into this now - I'll report back shortly.

Alright my main gripe of quick punch not working has been confirmed broken by Avid. My other issues are the lack of Eucon features when programming soft keys. I have much less options when configuring soft keys then I did with HUI, at least unless im doing something wrong. Right now theres no way for me to do

Solo Clear
Copy Plugin Settings
Paste Plugin Settings

Just to name a few. Just seems odd now that we have Eucon we have less features in some cases. Please restore the other Eucon soft key options that were available in HUI.

Its nice to hear from AVID.
I understand they will be getting inundated at the moment.
Maybe the option of using HUI or Eucon in PT9 would be welcome by some.

My woes:

- Touch screen coords are *sometimes* misread. Another user had the same thing after the update. Haven't calibrated the screen yet because I'm not in the studio till saturday.
- This is probably more of a feature request than a bug but I wish to remap my plugins. The EQIII 7 band, my go-to eq, maps so weirdly to the surface, plus the mono and stereo versions map completely different.

Maybe more will follow when I get back to the studio.

I guess when I'm working on the next session I'll use HUI for the time being. Hopefully Avid/Euphonix fix the issues within a month or so :O

Are you using the Insert Knobset or the EQ knobset.

Remember that in the QE knobset each band maps to 2 knobcells (gain + freq) and Q/BW is accessed by pressing the SEL button on the FREQ knob.
You should get 4 bands on PG1, then Filter/Shelf and Mid on PG2

Id Also like to add that the Zoom Vertical button becomes deactivated on the MC Control scroll wheel anytime play is pressed. This makes it very tough to edit. Before the update I was able to press and have the scroll wheel be my zoom at all times. Please give that option again. Thanks.

You have that option - just disable EuCon in Pro Tools and reconfigure it the same way you did with Pro Tools 8.

I like the way you can now see proper names in the touchscreen on MC Control and everything is correctly colour coded. Also the panning is far superior to Hui mode, especially for surround.

Is it just me though. I can't seem to find a function for flipping the faders to be Aux sends on MC Control. Its mentioned in the blurb for MC Mix but not Control.

Please tell me that has not gone in Eucon?

My big wish would be a way to open the Channel Surround pan floating window from the surface and then have that window follow as you move through channels.
Euphonix support told me that was not possible with HUI emulation. Maybe with Eucon.

Also, you don't seem to be able to string together more than one Eucon command as a multi. That would be cool too.

Fingers Crossed.

I depend on soft keys all the time for going from auto latch all to auto touch all to auto trim all etc... all the time
The C24 has this as do the D commands and the euphonix had it working fine under 2.5.5
Even though eucon implementation is great Its really a pain that these soft keys have been taken out of the mc control AUTO section

Please give us a set of soft keys that will implement
All Auto Off
All Read
All Touch
All Latch
All Trim
the way it used to be

And if possible
Preview/ Preview Punch
Capture / Capture Punch
Command Preview (to compare)
Auto Match

so mixers can stop using the mouse to mix

Cheers
