Default New Feature Request

Hi Digidesign,

again thanks for this fine software - dont know what i would do without it)))

One of the greatest features IMO is the Playlist function.... And now comes my feature request...

Could you build a preference option that would be called something like this : "Link Fader volume to Playlist" and "Link Fader pan to Playlist"

Just as an example: Having done like 50 takes of one verse with like 10 different interpretations - Each interpretation is different; one is soft the other mellow and the next hard etc. Each requiring it own volume setting..... There it would be soooooo nice to have the volume on the channel follow the playlist....if you know what I mean....

How about the rest of you guys - would that be something you would like or is there something similar in PT already

Regards

Bismark

I think the nomenclature you're looking for is Automation Playlist.

Right now when you change playlist, the automation remain intact.

But if you had a separate automation playlist, you would have the option of having the automation playlist follow the actual playlist.
Change the playlist from soft vocal to hard intense vocal, you can change the automation.
Whenever you came back to a particular playlist, you would have the option of having volume or panning changed.

Steve MacMillan has been asking for that for years now.

How about Comments that follow the playlist? That seems simple. It would be nice to have documentation to describe a playlist.
Thanks,

I'll take all of that. When you save new playlists, all the settings save with it.

Also, a keyboard shortcut for duplicate and new playlist would be nice.

I insist on beating my requests like the proverbial dead horse... Come on, Mr. Caccavo, we just talked about this on the phone the other day.

1) Preference selectable translucent regions so you can actually see the grid lines through the waves.
2) Scrolling marker in memory location window indicating which location you are in.
3) Window inside transport window indicating memory location with clickable pull down menu that reveals all memory locations and allows you to select and jump to that location.
4) Key command to delete selected track.

Thanks!

Glenn

1) How about having the most recent projects appear under the File menu
2) Recently used or even better, a favorite audiosuite plugin folder or submenu under the Audiosuite menu
3) An Opcode Vision style midi environment (please, please, please....... pretty please???)

Thanx!

Hey Rinky, Try This...

Hold down the command button.
Go to the AudioSuite menu.
Select one of your favorite plugins from that menu.
After you release the command button, go back and check the AudioSuite menu. It should have what you selected at the very top of your menu.
When you check it in the folder, it should be in BOLD.
If you want to un-check it, repeat the same process.

All of your favorites are right there at the top of the menu.
It works the same way for your TDM plugins as well.
