Cannot Edit Clip Effects in PT 12.6 HD

Having similar issues - intermittently cannot use certain parameters of the clip effects. If I copy the clip and paste it somewhere else on my timeline, I somehow gain the ability to edit all parameters again. Not clip specific or project specific, seems to be pretty random.

Making sure everyone knows that Clip FX are only editable when the clip is fully selected.

Duck-- we're doing it right for crying out loud. Enough if the "it works for me so you guys must be doing something wrong".

I'd like to hear from anyone who is actually using clip effects on a pre 12.6 session. Not someone who tested it on a clip or two and called it a day.

Merely seeking to add detail to a thread that is about an issue that seems to be intermittent. I recently mixed a documentary and used Clip FX extensively and didn't experience this once for example.

Now....

Fixable bugs need reproducible steps. Can anyone here make this happen with a brand new session following specific steps? That would be super helpful.

I'll call support once I''m done with my current project and have them look into it. I will also try to reproduce on something new. I do suspect some of these songs as they've been through several version of PT from 11.3 to 12.6.

Glad to know it actually works for you though in real life. You never know when people say something works if their really using it.

For what it's worth, this happens to me in a brand new project; however, I did import my audio from an Avid Media Composer AAF.

Has anyone already listed this bug at Ideascale?
It's such a showstopper what i encounter every day, since Clip Effects have really speeded up my worlflow in Post sessions.
Haven't figured out how to reproduce this bug, but here at Duc, Goombot suggests: "After further use it seems to only happen when you keep the clip effects window open"

I don't know if this is accurate in my case...I don't keep the clip effects window open, and this happens all the time. I mean, not to be annoying, but the only thing I have to do to make it happen is use Pro Tools for about 10 minutes.

And yes, this would be wonderful for Post, as it allows me to make tiny tweaks to dialog clip to clip, without having to mess with automating parameters, etc. Very keen on getting this bug squashed.

Just started playing with Clip FX and am seeing this as well. Just done a restart, and will see how it lasts.

Session came from AAF, but audio I'm tweaking is from my SFX library...
