Default M-Box 2 Mini and dbx 286a pre-amp

Hi everyone - I have been searching this forum for a definitive answer but have yet to find one, even though the pre-amp question has come up numerous times.

I am trying to improve my VO recordings and bought a used dbx 286a pre-amp. It only has analogue line outs. I really really can't afford a D/A converter and my M-Box 2 Mini only has a DI/IN. Is it possible to plug in and bypass the M-Box so that I can still use Pro Tools LE?

Thank you so much for taking the time to consider this, I truly appreciate it.

Hugh
