MAC Mini 2018 with eGPU

Hi guys,

PT HD 12.8.2 user here.
I am very satisfied with the buffed up Mac mini 2018, Mojave 10.14.5.

Thinking about adding an egpu to the chain, only because i don't want to convert every clip i get (as .mp4) to apple prores.

two questions;
-will adding a razer X egpu with vega 64 help me, that working with the .mp4 in PT HD 12.8.2 wont feel as sluggish, and choppy video?
-while working in the upper scenario, will the MM's ventilation slow down, because of the less strain on the 3,2 i7 processors?
