Default Mbox and Lexicon MPX200 spdif nightmare!! Help!

Hi there,
I run an Mbox on an Allenstein AMD643000 with no problems at all. However i have recently tried to patch in my MPX200 digitally with little success.
Heres the setup:
In Setups menu ihave Ch 1-2 Input set to SPDIF and the clock at SPDIF. I have set up a track, rec enabled the button, input monitor on.
On the Lexi System Mode i have set input to digital, digital output to processed, global mix to program.
When i press play i dont get any audio just full scale feedback. So i switched the pt clock to internal, the feedback goes and then starts to build when i raise its input fader. Also on all occasions i cannot see spdif 1 or 2 in my sends therefore not having an aux control for it.I have tried the default in the IO Settings but it doesnt let me add a digital output.'Path n/a' is what i get in the menus. All the time the lexi seems to get the whole mix, when i need it just to get whatever i send it like a regular send to reverb plugin on an aux channel.
I am mightily confused! I really need to get this thing going for an upcoming project. Anyone shed any light on this?
I think if i could download a IO Settings file (.pio) that listed the digital in/outs specifically for the Mbox then i would be in business.....
And is there a SPDIF mirroring option in PT6.4 for Mbox?
Cheers

Anyone? I'm beginning to think there is no possible way to use an external send device via the spdif as you would on the 002 Rack which i use in my work studio.Am i right in this?
Thanks again

hi, yup checked the manual etc, everything connected properly...i'm gonna try trashing my dae prefs and see what happens..i've read spdif mirroring is default on the mbox no matter what - which could prove a problem as i need to be able to treat the spdif outputs as a seperate output..

>> Can't check, sold my Mbox a while ago. BUT..that would require to pump more bandwith through the USB1 port, and I'm guessing it's just not possible...

good luck,

Well,
If i cant come up with a solution to this, i'm considering selling it to buy a 2nd hand 001 which i know will definately be able to use the MPX200 as a digital send/return device. Its a pity cause i love my mbox!! What do u guys think i should do?

The SPDIF is probably an alternative to the inserts and will only work with a signal being input to the pre's. I suspect the MBox is limited to only real-time input processing either through the SPDIF or Inserts. If you can't send/receive to/from the SPDIF's in your LE session, this would be the case. MBox is a very limited piece of (bleep) over other portable hardware choices. The only good thing you can do with it is to use it as a dongle for mixing in the box on the road. I guess you could record with it if you have the right PC/Mac and you hold your mouth just right. ...and yes, I have one... gathering a lot of dust. My Omega kicks MBox's (bleep) with its DBX pre's. Take a look at the PreSonus FireBox if you want power and portability and could give the OO1 a run for its money.
