Trashing DAE Preferences - Export Automation
I've had some trouble with apparently corrupted
files, apparently in conjunction with a plug-in. When I close the session it gives me a kernel32 error, swap file probelm and then I have to reboot to run PTLE again. What do you lose when you delete the files in DAE Preferences? Is there a way to import/export the automation information from a 'corrupted' session in the same way you can import audio? Thanks. |

quote:
What do you lose when you delete the files in DAE Preferences?

-Whenever you trash the DAE preferences, remove the entire folder (it will be created again when you relaunch PT LE). The DAE preferences contain information about what plug-ins are currently installed in the system as well as the DAE Playback Buffer size.
quote:
Is there a way to import/export the automation information from a 'corrupted' session in the same way you can import audio?

-Not really. The only way to import automation is by importing the entire track (File>Import Tracks) into the session. Brent |
