Default Virtual Instruments Magazine

This one is a rare personal post...

Since we have this new forum, I thought it might be a good place to mention a new monthly magazine that came out a few months ago, Virtual Instruments Magazine. To find out more about it, or to subscribe, see their website:
www.virtualinstrumentsmag.com

This publication is not affiliated with Digidesign, and they are not affiliated with this forum that shares the VI name, but there are a number of Pro Tools users (including some DUC members) that write for it. We have a lot of respect for their expertise, and the steady hand of expert editor and publisher Nick Batzdorf.

I subscribed when it first came out, and highly recommend it to anyone interested in virtual instruments.

Cheers,
Bruce Paine

Looks like this is available in Canada? Haven't seen it at any retailers. I'll have to do some more hunting.

Good stuff! I think I first saw it a couple of months ago at Borders, and also at B&N. I think EM or ReMix had a little advert about it in there, and I think it was mentioned in the Mastering for ProTools LE publication. I hope they have that new one available when I go tonight.
Peace

Just subscribed on Friday after seeing your reco. I really liked what I saw. The latest issue is downloadable, so I took advantage of that rather than wait for the mail. Was not disappointed. My first impression: articles are substantive, pleasantly packaged, well-organized and USEABLE.

I've been following Nick B's writing for at least ten years. I was wondering what he was going to do next and then I saw VI on a newstand. I bought a 2nd issue and then put in my 2 year subscription. It's a great mag for the merging studio (everything into the computer). No more wading through all the "hardware" stuff to get to the "software" reviews.
