Default Plugins sets by Session ??? - Can it be done ???

Didn't use caps for my Subject - this used to be BAD manners. Is it allowed here?

MY SYSTEM
----------------------------------
IBM Thinkcentre M52
Intel Pentium 4 630 (3GHz)
2 GB Ram
PT 6.4 + Updates
Windows XP, SP2
Numerous Musical devices - Not pertinent to this question...

Long winded question, but interesting (at least to me)

Guru's of the pro tools worlds.. hear my plea....

I need to know if their is anyway to configure pro tools to load
plugins on a session by session basis. I know the answer to this is
"no", at least with the version I am using.

What I am trying to figure out is how to load just the plugins I used
for an old session. I had to reinstall pro tools and when open my old
session I get the following error:

"the following plugins were made inactive because they could not be
found int he plugins folder:
..."

Luckily, what I did was zip up the two plugin (there are there total I
believe) folders that contained plugins, once I had the session mix
where I wanted it. I can then unzip these back to where they belong:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Digidesign\DAE\Plug-Ins
and
C:\Program Files\Digidesign\Dae\Plug-Ins
I also backed up the plugin settings, but I think these are part of
the session.

This seems to be the only way I can "lock in" my session completely.
But it is definitely very clunky.

Any enlightening tips from the pt-guru's out there would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks much in advance

p.s. Apologies - I had posted something similar to this several months
ago with no helpful responses and i have added all the detail to this
post to clearly describe the problem,.
