20 mins to boot
Hi
I just decide to take of the dust from my old PowerPc 7300, my 888 and PT 4.1.1 and my old SCSI 2 gig extrenal HD and do some mix again, after 9 years on the shelf. It take forever to boot, and it stay stuck at the DSI extension... and after 10-20 mins tada! the extension find the ext HD and boot. When using SD II or PT 4.1.1 and going into hardware setup, same thing, very long to get system respond. After that, I open and old file, work like a charm, play real time just like to old days... but its painfull on every boot. I use DEA and DSI 3.2.3 ( I think the latest verson at that time)... so I decide to try another version 3.1 and now it's booting normally ?!?! but PT 4.1.1 require 3.2.3 !! what to do ?? Any clue why it's doing that ?? I also notice I have 2 ext HD connect into the audio card with the special wire and the 2nd is daisychain to the 1st using standard SCSI cable (was like that 9 years ago) I can only find one drive, and the mountdigi or probe SCSI can't find the second one ?? If I switch drive cable, same but it will find the other one... SCSI ID are different Thank you |
