Default BFD Ultra and Pro Tools 7.1 TDM - Digi?

There are a couple of things I'd like to rant about for just a sec.

1.) Kind of blows that I can't just set up audio tracks with BFD rewire inputs or RTA's inserts for each invidual drum (BFD Ultra) and print them to those tracks when I'm ready to. The only way I can see to do this is to set up Aux inputs and then route the outputs to new audio tracks and then print those - just kind of a pain to have all these tracks in my session and doesn't seem like it should be necessary. Why can't RTAs plugs be made to work on audio tracks without having to insert a trim plug before or some such nonsense. Digi?

2.) Automatic Latency Compensation (ADC) - I have to constantly remember to turn this on or off when tracking because it screws with virtual instruments. Why not make it so I can selectively turn it on or off on each track.

I can't decide whether or not to use BFD RTAs or Rewire - which is best? Anyone?

Thanks.
